Detachable Cooling Base: Technology & Bottle Specifications

COOLING BASE & SPECIFICATIONS

Understand your detachable cooling base.

The OWAVES architecture combines a sealed phase-change heat-absorption chamber with TEC assistance. The base separates from the bottle body for charging and care. The following technical information is supplied by OWAVES.

Three stages of the operating cycle

  1. Heat absorption: the conditioned medium absorbs heat through the bottle’s metal contact surface following activation.
  2. Temperature control: TEC assistance supports the temperature-control stage.
  3. Regeneration: stored heat is released during preparation for the next rapid-cooling cycle.

Battery charge and the medium’s thermal readiness are separate. Complete regeneration is required before another rapid-cooling cycle. Follow the supplied unit instructions for operation and readiness indicators.

Cooling observations and conditions

Read the OWAVES prototype cooling record for the five supplied readings, water volume and room temperature. It describes a specific prototype run; outcomes for a supplied unit depend on its operating conditions and readiness. Contact customer care for questions about the unit you intend to purchase.

Care and heat management

Detach the base before washing the bottle, lid, straw and seals. Keep the powered base dry. Do not cover its ventilation openings. Heat absorbed during cooling must be released during regeneration; preparation is part of the complete operating cycle.
